My experience buying already checked and selected cells

@alpha60 after 5 days receiving the tracking number from Holland, still no details of the shipping... I'll wait until due date (1st of June) but I'm not happy with the vendor. It's like walking in the dark, no news, no info, no nothing. I think a business handled this way won't last much more, his feedback on Ebay is falling lower every day. Won't buy from him again, that's sure:mad:.

For the good news, I found another supplier in UE, he just posted today here in the forum (here).
I wrote to him (via Whatsapp) and he answered real quick, seems good. I'll place an order for 400 cell later on tonight, as soon as I charge prepaid credit card. I'll keep you updated.

Me the same no news but my due date was May 12th still received nothing that day, I saw at one place on eBay that the sale of the cells I ordered ended on June 3 may be that the seller is waiting for the date end before sending the cells but in this case it could prevent, otherwise I will look at the site you found, you know the delivery time?

I didn't really ask. In Italy, maybe you know, I'd expect a "pronta consegna" (ready to ship).

Which cells did you order?
completed order right now, 400 cells of these: "

100 (more) tested 18650 inside 2000-2199 mah no holder

"
I asked him about bad cells, he said they usually send some extra ones in any case. If I find many bad ones he'll replace them in the next order. And he added that he never had too many problems in 3 years online. He does seem serious.

Do you know which cell mark they're going to send you?

They say the source's mainly ebikes, hopefully they'll be all similar cells
I hope they are not Sanyo because they tend to heat up too much, otherwise since you have ordered you have canceled your order at energycells?

No, I didn't cancel energycells orders yes because eBay gives an arrival date 1st June. I'll wait until that date and then see what to do. I still hope they Will ship the orders.

I am chatting with them at the moment, they told me that they send different brands in their batch but that if you wanted a brand and not another you had to ask them and they will do it as much as possible then you if want one. only reference tell them

Hello, I ordered 200 cells of this type
100 (more) tested 18650 inside 2200-2399 mah no holder
Indeed the seller seems to be serious, I will keep you informed as soon as I have received my order

💯 :p

Here they are, so excited! Thank you WeSellCells, superfast. I've being trying yesterday to spot weld the 35AWG fuse wire from the nickel plate bus to the cell but I'm having some random (small) esplosions🤭@daromer help lol

Yes, it's on 2 (where 1 is lowest and 5 highest); to weld nickel strips I use 3 and it's ok. On 4 It leaves slightly dark marks, on 5 it's burns the metal.

Being a cheap AliExpress model I don't have any better settings. What I don't get is why it's always ok with nickel strips/plates (nickel on nickel or nickel on cell) but not with fuse wires... This really bugs me!

Fuse wire is tinned copper? Perhaps a little piece on nickel strip on top of the end of the copper wire? weld on top directy above the wire.
What aliExpress spot welder did you get? I tried a few. before I got my Malectrics.

later floyd

What do you mean by explosions? Like sparks? Make sure one electrode is only touching the fuse wire, and the other electrode is not. And use the lowest setting on your spotwelder. When I started, 3 out of 4 welds were sparking and I had no idea what I was doing wrong, and now I never get a spark. 35 AWG is really thin. I use 30 AWG and you can definitely feel when you slide off the fuse wire.
