My experience buying already checked and selected cells

Fuse wire is tinned copper? Perhaps a little piece on nickel strip on top of the end of the copper wire? weld on top directy above the wire.
What aliExpress spot welder did you get? I tried a few. before I got my Malectrics.

Tinned copper, bought from the UK. Yes I could try putting a square of nickel strip on top of the wire.

@Generic: more than sparks. At one point the battery flew out of the wooden rig I made wtf and tiny fire balls of metal I suppose flew everywhere! I keep the power on medium-low (on 2, in a scale from 1 to 5). I tried lower than that and it doesn't hold, higher than that and it makes a burn mark. So it's set on 2 for fuse wire and 3 for nickel strips. It's really strange because I have no problems at all welding strips, works like a charm. I'm puzzled

This is the device:

@italianuser Hello I received them this morning, I put a few in test to see if the capacity is good
Yes, capacity is good, until now I tested 34; what's good is that both capacity and IR are consistent until now, a lot better than my notebook-recycled cells. I found 18 visibly bad cells out of 400. Two sets of CGR18650CG had rust marks, so I excluded the whole lot (based on lot number printed on the battery).

To make tests faster with my Liitokala 500s (I'm using 3x four slot ones) I run the NOR test but remove the batteries when discharge is complete so I free the slot again in the Liitokala, and do the charging using TP4056 modules; I don't wait for the Liitokala to charge it again.

I have the same welder mine only works on high or it could be low I forget. it is either the green led or the red led that lights up. I never tried welding fuse wire with it. So a peice of nickel strip is an untested method and i don't know if it will work.

@floydR I'll be free next Tuesday and I'll give it a try. I really would prefer spot welding.

@alpha60 I tested nearly 300 of the 400 cells received from WeSellCells.eu; I'm very satisfied with results. 20 bad cells but they did send extra ones, very good (y) What are your cells like, good or what?

Ah! I have news from EnergyCells: after exactly 30 days waiting and so much frustration in knowing nothing about the shipment I was finally able to ask for a refund, I went to click and made a discovery... the had finally shipped the cells just a few hours before terms expired, so I didn't ask for refund  I really don't know what to think. Terrible customer service (zero), they could have just said "Sorry Customer, we have some delay, we will send before the end of the month"... and I would have been happy to know that. Why do the act like this? They lost nearly 10% reputation in EBay, I think the do overbooking on orders, but I mean... man... are you doing business or what? Won't last long acting like this.

Me I tested 100 cells out of 200 I only had 3 bad cells, the capacity is more than correct I even have new cells with an original capacity, really great this seller, Energy cells sent me an email asking me what been my order when I canceled and eBay already refunded me, they are too stupid

...You won't believe it. Today I received the cells from the dutchman... It's unreal for me, yes, we're talking about EnergyCells on Ebay:

- Packaging is excellent: outside box and inside box with individual spaces for each cell;
- Cells are all of the same type per box, 4 boxes x 100 cells, very good condition, tested a bunch of them IR between 20 and 40mOhm.

Why... why such a good product is managed in such a bad way?

Man, Tim, fix your customer service, a customer only wants to feel safe and supported. I ask for a date, you answer: "Yes Dear Customer, we are having a short delay, I'll give you an update on XXYYZ" OR "we'll surely send for this date XXYYZZ". And after one give me a followup email.

Man, Tim, fix your logistics /warehouse management. From what I see I think internally you must have some issue in managing stock VS order (and backorders). It's only a matter of numbers and dates on the calendar... managed via some noob-safe procedures.

I know you're not reading the forum right now, but if someone can call you up, come and read here. I'll help you will logistics procedures, you just pay for my air ticket and hotel for Holland  I'm serious(y) It's a pity to have such a good product and handle orders like this wth... wth...
