Hello All,

I have a battery set I like only to charge when my solar panels are injecting to the net.
This battery can take up to 50A @ 72V
Does someone knows if there exists chargers (working from 230Vac) only charging if I'm not using from the net but injecting in the net ?
For example by means of a current clamp on the incoming net wire sensing the injected current ?
As I'm living in the north, preferable a continuous charge current adjustment (aligned to the injection) is preferable.
At dark ,cloudy or rainy days I only have about 250 W to 600 W injection.

I found already solar inverters with current clamps but no chargers.

Kind regards.

I'm not picturing what you're after. Could you explain a bit more the situation you want to solve?

No there aint.

But a controllable charger and then a meter with a raspberry pi or an ESP chip and you can easily build it your self :)

I only want to charge the wattage I would without charger inject to the net. Using kWh's from the net costs 10 time more then what we get for the injected kWh's

I know this is one of the solutions, but it is just this 'controllable charger' I'm after.

Eltek chargers for instance can work. Then can be controlled externally.

@daromer gets it (good!) To me it sounds like your conditions can be met with a regular PV/charge controller (or charger) -> battery -> grid-tie inverter where you don't turn on the inverter till the battery is full-charged and turn the inverter off it the battery voltage drops a little below full-charge.
For example, I have one of these - https://www.amazon.com/ECO-WORTHY-1000W-Inverter-Limiter-System/dp/B095C6FTP6/ref=sr_1_1_sspa - and it's user programmable to turn on/off based on battery voltage.

*I think I'm just interested in understanding your use case more than anything - it sounds interesting.

I don't want to change my current setup ( SMA Sunny Boy 5000TL-21, so no battery on this one only : PV-->SMA-->grid )
Additional, the battery I want to charge is a movable/mobile battery charged at another place then the SMA place.
(Maybe I should compare it to a EV car you charge with a 230Vac charger, no possibility to hook the EV directly to the PV cells/string )
So I don't see how a PV --> (MPPT) charge controller --> battery --> grid-tie inverter can help me.

So maybe I need to search within the controllable EV chargers ...
But would be nice if someone knows a payable soluation ( or even DIY solutions or example )
