    Hi everyone!!!!

Shame to have to chop the tree, but at least you can. My neighbors bamboo is the bane of my panel existence. Fortunately he is a good guy and friend so he lets me trim is back some. I still lose all light by 4pm this time of the year. Welcome to the form!

    Intro

Well, I am not one of those knowledgeable type guys, but welcome to the forum. Lot's of great folks here with great info. Once you start, it is hard to stop making it bigger, better, kinda like Steve Austin.

    Did anyone see this...

The energy is in the form of electromagnetic energy--I have no problem with that. And the magnetic field does not get established until the electrons move (the electrons actually move very slowly--something like 15 minutes an inch--IIRC), but the electromagnetic energy from that battery is not...

    Welders

I could never get a K-weld, so I went with the Maletrics. I have welded up thousands of wires to cells and it works just fantastically.

    Did anyone see this...

Did anyone see this video. Whereas, I understand what he is saying, I think he is wrong at the end. He seems to imply that the light will light up when the elecromagnetic waves travel from the battery to the light. I can understand that the two wires act as an antenna and so after the wave has...

Anyone know of a settable solar charge controller under $500

No alcohol, I make sure I am always done with any wiring or what not before I imbibe. Just muscle memory and not paying attention.🤣 Victron does have it right in that they label PV and Batt on the front (not that that dissuaded me from doing it wrong). It drives me crazy that most of these...

Anyone know of a settable solar charge controller under $500

The EPEVER worked perfect for the fan battery. I DID get the Victron controller for my future LiFePO4 cell (which are currently Lead Acid). When I hooked the Victron, of course I have hooked up solar charge controllers so many times I did not bother to look at which was supposed to be battery...

    Interfering with Ham Radio

Mmm, that is a great question. As my panels are within 10 feet of my antenna, and the solar shed (with everything-inverter included) is only about 30 feet away, you would think I would have personal experience to offer. Problem is, while doing all my solar stuff, I also made myself a new...

    So, I just gotta know...

No, no, the inverter has no issues, I have a 14s 240P battery already done and running for over half a year. I was just curious as to why when you look at 18650 cell configuration to make a "48 V" battery, they give a 14s configuration. Just curious, not looking to change anything,. I an cursed...

    So, I just gotta know...

They did a study I saw years ago, where folks like even numbers better than odd numbers. Something in the human brain that wires us that way.:):) Of course me being odd in many, many ways, I prefer prime numbers (13 is one of them) and they are all odd, except for two; which in an of itself is...

    So, I just gotta know...

Well, I have never seen a 52 V inverter, so the battery it "sees" is a 48V battery. So, I thought most folks (or maybe it is just me) referred to them as a 48 V battery. Just like we call a car battery 12V, but really is is more like 13 V.

How to Quickly Identify Fake LFP Battery Cells Part 3 – QR Code

Thanks Tim! I wish I had known this before I order my cells, but I am only getting 8, so if I get burned it won't be major. I hope most of these fake sellers get weeded out in the coming years.

    So, I just gotta know...

When making a "48V" battery out of 18650 cells, why do we use a 14S configuration rather than a 13S configuration? I never thought about it when I was making my pack, I just excepted what folks did and did it. But, I can never just except something, I am cursed with always wanting to know why...

Buss Bars with LiFePO4 prismatic cells

Ahh, I think Lithium Solar just solved the problem. He found nickel coated flexable copper buss bars, expensive, but I think worth it. Flexable buss bars
