Wasn't sure if this would fit under the normal categories.

A coworker of mine gave me a laptop battery which he said would not charge past 66%. He had recently purchased the battery from Ninja Batt.

Did my thing and found 8 cells marked as LGDB318650 which may be 2600mah according to the cell DB.

Charger/Discharger: XTAR VC4S

Load Testing Results:
1: Could not complete test, drops to 0v when loaded
2: 1021mah
3: 1632mah
4: 1861mah
5: 1108mah
6: 1538mah
7: 1890mah
8: 2027mah

Told him he got hosed.

lg cells with that style print are getting pretty old now.
those are hardly new.
well you voided any warrenty it probably didnt have :)

I've found Ninja batteries to be relatively reliable in after market packs for laptops. You never know what kind of life they had by the time it comes to repurposing.

Maybe this one was a one off.

But their advertising is still somewhat deceptive. Nowhere do they say these are recycled/old cells. Just buzz word type stuff like "grade A cells", "100% true capacity", "brand new".

Like sure I bet they were grade A brand new 100% true capacity cells years ago lol.
