    My First 48V 6.5KWh Li-Ion Powerwall 🥰

[Update 16 May 2021] I'd like to have everthing setup before July/August , I'm waiting for all pieces to arrive from around the world and I have a question about mixed cell modules setup. So while my current status is: - [ORDERED] 400 cells from Holland (...sigh! sorry to say but he's not a...

    Fangpusun inverter

Actually never heard of them. I did a little research out of curiosity and found their website which looks relatively well made. The website says a lot about the people. The links to social channels in the footer of the website are: Facebook: a link to an unavailable page; Twitter: sends to the...

    Figuring out my next step

Oh that's a pity, but at least now you can proceed with fixing the problem. If you break the battery you could remount it with busbar(s) and fuse wires. It might take some extra effort (buying new pieces) but next time you have an alert it will be easier to do maintenance. Nice to know this...

    Story of my life...

It's years, decades, I don't buy new computers, good choice! If your Dell switches completely off it's one thing, if screen blanks out and it stay switched on it's something else. The first case IMHO is better because it's often related to high temperature, and it's quite easy to make some tests...

    Figuring out my next step

I'm very interested in your post. I will be at your stage in a month or two, Daly is one of my choices on BMS side. From what you say your third 18p block shows a voltage problem so surely you should check all cells in that block and be sure BMS is working correctly (third probe wire is ok? Did...

    Story of my life...

Oh my Dr! If It switches off it's probably the heat control. You could open It and check three things: the cooling fan (may be dirty, blocked or something, air should flow nicely out of a side of the chassis); the paste under the CPU (maybe dried up); all of the air grids (must be clean). And...

My experience buying already checked and selected cells

We made the order in the same days; on my orders, I have two orders, Ebay says on both they haven't been shipped; BUT there's another page in Ebay where it might say the product has actually been shipped and also give you an ETA (don't ask me why it doesn't show this in the normal order list)...

    Story of my life...

I think the same as @daromer superglue could crack. Wanting to glue them maybe a silicone based product or something with a rubbery consistence is better, a product which can resist to micro-movements of the board without cracking.

    Story of my life...

I would say: New version may have some serious bugs 😅 Just think if you were one of the lucky people buying a brand new Pentium in 1994! LOL My rule of thumb is to never buy the latest version of anything, let other people test it for a couple of years first. (ref. Pentium FDIV bug...

Is a double layer of shrink wrap on individual cells ok?

Really... I didn't wont to get into this rewrapping business, no no no. @Wolf explained well why it's so important to rewrap cells... but really, no, it already takes so much effort to make a powerwall... Conclusion: I bought wraps from an online seller, now I'm waiting for them to do my first...

    Planning to improve my website

Ok, we're waiting to see version 2 of the layout 💯 Look at this layout: "Digikey Conversion Calculators", it's quite an old site so it has many calculators but layout is quite modern. It's interesting to note how page and functions are divided. So, maybe you could add: - AWG and SWG tables...

Mixing battery designs in solar / powerwall system

I think it should work assuming you set the correct parameters in all BMSs (both Li-Ion and LiPO) because BMS hides what's behind it (the batteries) and charging will just push amperes into all BMSs and each BMS will "pull in" what batteries require. When current comes out of the batteries it...
