Thanks, handy tool.
I was just doing 3A x 3.6V = 10.8W per battery
10,000W /10.8 W = 926 batteries
rounded up to 1,000 because most probably aren't going to be 3A.
2.5A is probably a better number to use.
1,330 'good' cells.... feels like such a huge number to aquire
haha yes not the best...
Really impressed!!
I have some questions,
How did you workout what the requests the Goodwe inverter was asking the BMS? Did you use some kinda packet capture software like 'wireshark'?
Did you first need a working Goodwe compatible battery/BMS to capture what the inverter was asking? Or were...
@yasko Wow, just had a look at your thread, impressive bit of hacking/reverse engineering. I'll ask some related questions in your thread. Sounds though like i have to take a gamble on buying the inverter and hoping a can find a way if i go with Solax.
As the battery isn't built yet, so i can...
I want to build a 10+kw powerwall & direct DC couple to a hybrid inverter.
Aside from being more efficient (i believe), the inverter can manage the direction of power as needed (export to home/battery/grid), & i'll be able to easily keep track of everything via the inverters cloud monitoring...
Hey forum,
I found this place from HBPowerwall's youtube channel. Retail powerwall solutions are so over priced and building my own battery sound like a really cool project, so here i am. I've already started collecting 18650s (only have about 200ish). I think i need about 1,000 for a 10kw...
