    Pack cooling

Yeah thought maybe black wax with a light sensor on the other side or something. My setup has the batteries vertical on a draw but raised a little and sensor in a sealed box. Easy to make a warning buzzer etc.

    Pack cooling

Cooling is something I have been working on for a high powered scooter (2kw+) , but thought it would make a great indicator for heater cells in wall packs. Heater melts the wax and it leaves it standing by itself, so easy indicator.

    Pack cooling

Hi all, I don’t post much but have a question about cooling of packs. I know a lot of you have gone the air cool route but was thinking on using a copper pipe through a pack and doubling it as the main earth bar. Also have though a lot about using the phase change effect of wax’s for cooling as...

power monitor controlled grid tie inverter ?

thx guys. Will probably go the hybrid route since getting generator plugs installed up here in the northern territory is almost a mandatory thing due to the amount of power problems we have. tho that grid tie inverter is so cheap wow. thx again.

power monitor controlled grid tie inverter ?

Hi guys , I'm looking into setting up a portableGrid tie inverter solar system to supplement some of the power to my house , but I don't want to pay for the two way power meter and the $800 dollars for setting it all up (i'm renting the house) . How to recover 18650 Cells safely and reliably

Ha ... so i wasn't imagining things. It always seems to be the Reds that boil. You can smell the hot battery smell before you find the hot one. It only takes about 5 min to check if they are hot , other than that i leave them out on my concrete driveway charging them now. ( just a precaution.)

How to recover 18650 Cells safely and reliably

Thx guys , have started on my 18650 cell journey yesterday and they are not as easy to process as you see on YouTube. So far I have melted two battery holders after a cell took offence to being charged. Even after charging i am finding they sometimes don't make it up to 4.2 when charging and are...

How to recover 18650 Cells safely and reliably

HI guys, first post. What is the lowest voltage you should go to when doing your capacity checks? And since most cells come in pairs do you think its worth splitting them up into individual cells ?
