done...in the end I am not sure this is the way to go as some suggested. Oh well, decent first pack. Did 12v (3s) pack. Just didn't think I had enough cells for a decent 24v pack. Pack has a low watt assignment.
Daromer, I thoroughly believe you on this one. :) I need the drill batteries like that one Samsung I referenced earlier. Just trying to do something with these leftover cells. Prob be better off just buying another Pb for around $22usd, but before I do that will just twist out the kick pedal and...
Thanks Korishan...I did a 3s3p (does need 4p) config since I have a 3s 25a BMS. It cranks OK now, but has limited stamina. I think I can live with the limited stamina since it has a kick start too. This battery compartment is very tight; designed for 5.5"x1.5"x3.25".
Note: This time I think I...
Little pack just can't do it; cranked some but acted like a "low" battery barely turning the engine over. By the time I was done trying the cells were starting to warm up. Connectors were good/clean. Guessing the cells are not rated for this current. I think that green samsung is high current...
I have the comms cable with personal edition for the APC and nothing can be changed other than when it shuts down or when to switch from the grid to backup power unfortunately; sure wish they had something to give us more control. The only useful info from Powerchute PE is battery state and time...
APC is the 1300 PRO. Anyone know charging current, no load drain and if the fan is thermally controlled on this APC?
Still have a couple weeks before I commit.
Thanks for the input. Currently the pack I am making is planned for a low-load (60watts) environment with a 12v inverter that alarms at 10.6v.
I do have a 24v APC, but I am thinking the 388 cells are not enough to make a decent 7s and I am not sure if the inverter will tolerate 7s voltage. I...
I bought a 10a and a 20 for testing, but do I even need a BMS? I can;t imagine no, but some are doing this. Found one guy who put the balance cable on then removes for annual balance charge. lol
Building a small pack for an ATV that charges at 14.5v <1000mah. Some are building packs w/o a BMS which I am not keen on. Can a safe 4s really be safely used in this situation. I ordered BMS, but wanted to see what the trend is in the community.
Thanks again for all the help.

Thanks. Zipties it is. I really want to keep a close eye on these cells when I finish this pack in a couple weeks.
12v - 288p (one row empty for front panel). I know 24 is better but I have several 12V inverters and not enough cells for a good 24v pack.
Did you mean 6s (25.2) or 7s (29.2) for 24v inverter? I was more thinking at least 2 separate 12v packs with these cells so I could go series and a 24v inverter in near future. I ordered a few 6s BMS boards to play around with.
EDIT: NVM I see Over Voltage is around 30v for 24v inverters.
