Nissan Leaf "vehicle to home" power

I'm desperately waiting on a small and cheaper V2H system which connects to Chademo and can be used as camping supply. Atm cheapest I found is around 3500,- euro and has 3KW output

Nissan Leaf charging 7s powerwall - ideas

So my powerwall is basically finished(mostly), its a 7s120p with about 4kWh, with this setup powerwall -> 200A China BMS -> PIP Solar 3024 -> 1,2KW Solar(with extreme high shading atm) Its completely offgrid, with a small generator as "last resort" backup, which I normally dont use As I got a...

    Inverter "flick the switch" remote

hmm, you are right, didnt think about a relay before the inverter, thx, will do a search in that direction!

    Inverter "flick the switch" remote

thx for the info but I meant I want to kill mostly the standby usage of the inverter. There will only be a fridge running at night(35W when on), Inverter standby is 50W...

Can you run on solar in winter time?

Totally depends on where you live I guess... In the UK I dont think so, unless you got a LOT of panels, like 10x the panels you need in summer. Wind is perfect for the winter if you are in the right place, the power available at night will make a big difference.

    Inverter "flick the switch" remote

sorry if this has been discussed already, but I didnt find it... As some of you know I have a off grid setup, shack in the woods with only solar power and generator for "heavy machinery" usage I installed a MPPSolar PIP 3024MSXE Inverter now which works fine, what I want to do is turn off the...

    Good Chinese BMS review

Anyone gut any luck reading these BMS with a Bluetooth/Raspberry kind of setup? Would be interested too... Only thing I found so far is this https://github.com/sw-home/FHEM-BluetoothSmartBMS, will try if I'm at my battery next time(remote location)

PIP 3024, 4048, etc Inverters - best practice management software

thx, I played around with FHEM for some time for my pool, but never finished the automation I wanted, then I changed to IObroker(and also never finished ;-) thx, I did search on github, bit PIP3024 didnt bring up a lot, I will check these out when I get my inverter!

PIP 3024, 4048, etc Inverters - best practice management software

So I decided to buy a PIP inverter of the 3024XX model(not finally decided yet) I've seen the clunky windows software to control the thing(which is no problem for me for initial setup) At the site where it will be installed I have planned a RasPi/BananaPi/etc, its a remote location with no grid...

Solar with a LOT of Shade and PWM vs MPPT

Have to look at that LoRa thing closer, thx! Rpi was planned anyway for checking battery and solar. I have 3G/4G reception there too, so that could be easier but LoRa looks interesting... Oh, and for the solar panels.. I managed ot get an even better deal: 234Wp 49V/40.3V Mono Full Safety...

Solar with a LOT of Shade and PWM vs MPPT

I like the supercap idea, cheap and effective for the job. Good solution, I already have a small travel fridge, but with stuff for me, wife and two kids we dont use it much as I would need a bigger one. I also should add ist just 20mins to get there, I go sometimes even by bike, so the visits...

Solar with a LOT of Shade and PWM vs MPPT

Yes the generator would be theoretically the most cost effictive, but I like the luxury of having cold beer when I arrive there and -officially- I dont have a generator there ;) About the waterpump, yes I was thinking about DC 24 or 48V but I have around 50-60m cable to the well. Pump near...

Solar with a LOT of Shade and PWM vs MPPT

If I buy a victron the whole system costs easily 2 - 3k more... Then the "cheap" solar panels wouldnt make much sense with such a good inverter... This amount of money just doesnt make sense to me on a system that is mostly in shade and it mainly only used on the weekends, for non crucial things...

Solar with a LOT of Shade and PWM vs MPPT

the victron units are waay out of my budget, I'll get a PIP3024 like this here, model either MSE, MSXE or the new GK one

Solar with a LOT of Shade and PWM vs MPPT

Hey Guys! I found a good deal on solar panels, which made me think about my future solar setup when my powerwall is done. This is going to be a longer post, I'm happy about anyone who cares to read it and gives me some input. sorry in advance for my medium english. First, the Deal: I could get...

Cells with water damage - would you use these?

guys, thx for the input! :) I removed the plastic from one of them, just to b sure. No rust UNDER the cap as far as I can see. But the risk of getting rust there while cleaning the cell. The powerwall is going to be used in a remote location where I am only maybe once a week, or less. So for...

    Safety questions

most (almost all) of my cells in the not useable box have around 0,1V to 0,0V or leak electrolyte, so I just throw them in. I store the heaters in a seperate box, these are seperated by cardboard per layer, because they are usually charged.

Cells with water damage - would you use these?

I recently got a lattop battery which has seen either a lot of water or maybe even was diving a bit. The PCB was covered in blue dust... The cells are very rusty, but - to my suprise - show all six a voltage of 3,76V Not sure if I should clean them with WD40 and put them to use, the rust could...
