3 phase smart metering in Australia..

I don’t suppose there are any Ausgrid meter people on the forum that can tell me if the ausgrid 3 phase smart meters report back net usage (ie total of all three phases) or the individual phases?

I am under the understanding we are billed on the total of all three - so if I export on L1 and import the same amount on L2 the net of this is 0.

I just want to know if ausgrid can see our individual phase usage?

Cannot speak for Australia, but utilities typically meter by individual phases. You will pay for individual import, and get payed for individual export. It will only zero out if you have net-metering. Else, you will pay regular tariff for what you buy on each phase, and get payed feed-in-tariff for the phases with excess.

Australia is different

our three phase metering is net. (At least in NSW - other states may vary)
