Just did a quick vid that shows even in the 45c heat, my cells are sitting nicely at only 46c.

I think 1c above ambient is just fine, no fans, no inso in the shed.
This is during a charge cycle in the middle of the day.
Totally not stressed about the heat, it may get a few degrees hotter here this summer, but this is a non issue for me.

I just checked out your video and subscribed :)

Your cells look like they all have decent mAH, did you get them new or used?

Got my cells used for most of that build.

BUT, i have recycled new replacment batts, the chinese 1800mAh cells inside usually cap test out to about 2000-2200mAh and at about $2 per cell, well, its worth it either way.

kind regards

Thanks for the info :) I think my laptop batteries are pretty old, they don't seem to go above 1700mAH, most around 700-1200. Though I have had them for around 10years, some longer, sitting in boxes...

I pulled appart a makita drill with 10yo cells, all cap tested out to 500mAh, 10 YEARS!

Mates dad was a builder, he used em everyday - poor cells. No idea what the original capacity was, cant imagine them being more than 1500mAh from back then.
