I was doing some random search for something and came across this link... it's over 5 years old but it is a link of US House Representative Thomas Massie on his own DIY powerwall.... that's actually pretty impressive from a guy who's serving in congress... lol....

Tesla batteries from a Model S back when they're still 18650s.

There's also a movie (haven't watched it yet but I think he alludes to it..... trying to see how he would have to explain to the film crew that it's completely safe hehe)

Just went to the guy's wikipedia page. Apparently he was on the 1991 MIT solar car team, and was on a 2002 episode of Junkyard Wars. I like this guy

He sums it up pretty good about the roberment, they are all the same.
All of his ideas are centuries of age and all with a modern twist.
Incl his wood gas stove, in the UK 100 years ago they already had that in their cars, incl steam operated.

It can be so simple even on a smaller scale, self supporting is so easy, but not alowed.
In the Netherlands is not allowed anymore for 30 years or something to breed your own live stock for foor.
Or get your own water from rain or from the ground.
Grow your own food?!?!? max 100 squire meters
Harvesting and storing your own energy, it is becoming a grey area.

For a couple to live self supporting you will need 750 squire meters incl chickens ducks sheep and goat.
Fish pond for water and fish
200kw storage (for two ev's)
10kwh solar
