These Battery packs Have a working BMS, but its not a smart one. The reason these were taken form service is some of the cells have failed.
But there are enough units for me to swap out the dead ones, with other existing and end up with 4 12v 150ah battery's that i was just going to connect in series, to make a 48v 150AH unit.
But I wouldn't know what the stat of balance of the four cells in each pack was.
I could add an RC type cell monitor to each of the packs. And this would give me a display of the voltages of each of the four cells in each pack and give me some indication of there state. And I would know if the individual BMS's are working. But it wont balance the whole 48 volt output.
So Im looking for suggestions, or ideas, to get this under way. If you know of a simple BMS that will control all the battery's and give me a SOC and AH in and out reading.
Please share your wisdom.
Thank you All.
