I just want to get to work in the most fun way possible.
I got a 900Weskateboard that uses 36V 15Ah lead acid battery, so I can't see any better thing to put it on :)

I live in Arizona. I built a 2kwh 7S pack in October 2016. I then built a second pack a few months ago that is now 5.5kwh. Coming soon i'll be building another 5.5kwh pack or more of LG G5 cellphone batteries. Through work i'm being supplied many hundreds of brand new LG G5 batteries. I've started designing and 3d printing prototype mounts for these batteries. I'm really excited to make progress on this new pack. A Batrium BMS is planned in my future. My goals for these battery projects are to have power for emergencies during grid down situations and to save some money on my utility bills.

I don't have a lot of experience with powerwalls but I have been watching all your videos and have been learning a ton. Thanks for the great content. I love the live streams with you andmrs. average joe. It provides for a better live video than just watching one guy talk for hours. Keep up the great work.

Hello, I found this site by way of Peter and Joe so big thank you to both for all the info andfor going through all the trials and f@#k up to save us all the time. I'mcurrently collecting batteries and am up to around25 good cells with > 2500mah and less than 200 mo resistance. I have givenup on my local e-recyclers and starting to bug local PC repair shops.
My setup is going to start with 700 cells 100 per pack @ 24v. I have a few UPS I might use if I can get them to sync but most likelyill be using a 2000W inverter to start. I currently have 4 285w Pollysolar panels and get around4 or so sun hours a day. I hope to grow the project untilI can supportour cabin for 3 full days with no sun. I have really enjoyedthe info and tip I have receivedfrom everybodyin the DYI forms here. I have at least three major tips that I had never thought of before this. Thank you againand hope to share some pictures soon.

Hello I'm a member and Live in the USA. I'm soon to work on my very first Powerwall. I do not have many batteries about 24 of the 18650ED batteries mostly from the Dollar store and a few dead batteries i found 2 laptop battery packs i took apart.I only saw AverageJoe video recently after searching on youtube about DIYPowerwall and thought his sense or humor was cool. My wife said he's my twin brother in that department :)

I always wanted to build my own DIY Powerwall but don't have the batteries or wiring for it. So maybe one day i will save enough money to get some more batteries. I just recently went back from being disabled. and the only money i got that comes in goes to medical bills rent and food.I'llbe happy But overallone day to build my own I also have no solar panels or inverter yet but getting there. Thank you :(

Hello there. I am joining from Turkey. 48 volt 3200 Watt inverter, and two 250 watt solar panels. I am here to replace the lead acid with the urine 18650. I plan on a battery for the 14S 80P. I have 218 pcs right now. I bought the Liitokala Lii500 for testing tomorrow. I'll start the tests. I have had amateur experiences before, but I learned many technical details in this forum. I watch lots of videos. Although I do not understand your language, I follow the subtitles. AveRage joe also thanks for the insurance tests.

Hello, I live in Germany. In NRW. I try to build even a small Powerwall and have found here in the forum also many nice people help me. At the moment I still collect batteries, unfortunately I have only 400 pieces.
In walls build we know German us best :p I wanted to tell you Joe only briefly that your videos help me very much and your show was very entertaining. Please continue so please :exclamation: . I know that you can not send the batteries in other countries. Especially not to Germany :dodgy: . Always have a lot of sun !!

Now that the Giveaway for this thread is over with, I'll my project:

I'm planning on a 48V 100KW system for my house. I'm just about 18 months into the build, and I have built out 14 packs just like Peter's, for roughly a 10KW system. My min mAh rating is 2100, and my average pack build out is 2350 to 2450mAh. I currently have enough cells for a 40KW system, but I'm running into a time crunch factor on other fronts. I suppose my major hang up is that I do not have a solar system nor any "free" way to charge the batteries except using the grid, which is NOT an option. So my next course of action is to get a solar system bought and installed, and the electronics to go with it and move forward from there. Meanwhile the batteries keep piling up.

Hey there, I'm new to the DIY Powerwalls forums, but I've always loved thinking about creating a self-sufficient living system. For the past two years wasliving in my 30ft 1989 Rexhall Airex RV with all the trimmings : image_lrkjpp.jpg
Over those two years I lived entirely off the grid. On the electrical endI was able to do this with3 12v 150w Solar Panels, aSMAKN Intelligent LMS 40A 12V / 24V Liquid solar controller, two 12v 100ah gel batteries and two 6v Trojan t105s.

My wife and I recently had a new addition to our little family :)image_zmapyo.jpg
Unfortunately, while my wife and I are able to get by with dc fans, our daughter could use a little extra climate control. So I came up with this plan:image_vxavdy.jpg, but instead of buying the LiFeYPO4 batteries, I figured I could make my own 18650 powerwall. I am currently harvesting 18650 cells from dead laptop batteries and the going is slow, but it'll be worth it in the end and my little family will have a heck of an RV for our outdoor adventures :)image_gpjtjf.jpg

That is a great story!!! Congrats on the new addition! Yeah harvesting, capacity checking and soldering all take a lot of time but the end reward is gonna be Awesome!!! Hope to see your progress along the way.
