That is a great story!!! Congrats on the new addition! Yeah harvesting, capacity checking and soldering all take a lot of time but the end reward is gonna be Awesome!!! Hope to see your progress along the way.benjaminjohnsonquinones said:Hey there, I'm new to the DIY Powerwalls forums, but I've always loved thinking about creating a self-sufficient living system. For the past two years wasliving in my 30ft 1989 Rexhall Airex RV with all the trimmings :
Over those two years I lived entirely off the grid. On the electrical endI was able to do this with3 12v 150w Solar Panels, aSMAKN Intelligent LMS 40A 12V / 24V Liquid solar controller, two 12v 100ah gel batteries and two 6v Trojan t105s.
My wife and I recently had a new addition to our little family
Unfortunately, while my wife and I are able to get by with dc fans, our daughter could use a little extra climate control. So I came up with this plan:, but instead of buying the LiFeYPO4 batteries, I figured I could make my own 18650 powerwall. I am currently harvesting 18650 cells from dead laptop batteries and the going is slow, but it'll be worth it in the end and my little family will have a heck of an RV for our outdoor adventures
