Hi everyone,
New here to this site, wondering if any of you more seasoned Batrium users can help me identify if this is currently possible.
I'll get the main question out of the way first with details to follow:
Q:
Is it currently possible to for the Batrium to send critical faults over CANbus to Victron equipment only, but NOT control the charging/discharge parameters?
Background:
I have a Watchmon Core (with blockmon's) currently communicating with my Victron MPII inverter through my Cerbo GX, over CANbus. It will control charging/discharging as set, and react to my test critical faults as it should (ie. low temp disconnect stops charging).
My preferred method would be for the Batrium to be my last resort, and to monitor individual cell voltages, but I want my Victron equipment (Inverter and MPPT) to control the charging profile to however I set. As mentioned, the Batrium would be there to monitor individual cells, temperature etc, and send a critical fault over CANbus if anything got to that point.
I know the Batrium has various outputs you can hardwire to devices, but I want to do this over CANbus so I only have the one pair of wires for any/all faults, monitoring, etc.
In my testing so far I haven't seen how this would be possible as the critical fault control only can be enabled along with charging/discharging parameters active as well.
