Hello all,

I would like to use the batrium bms with my 2 tesla model S modules. I have the 2 zero ev bms board conversions for the tesla batteries. What do I need to order from batrium? I watched the youtube video but that has the watchmon 5 which is discontinued.

Power generation includes
1 wind turbine with a MidNite Solar Classic Model: 150
6 345w Sunpower solar panels with 2 Renogy rover Li 40 amp MPPT's

Power storage includes
2 tesla model S battery modules with Zero ev conversion boards

Misc parts include
Switches, fuses/breakers, battery monitors, 2awg cable, bus bars
I haven't decided on my inverter just yet, I am leaning towards Aims 2-3k 24v.

Can someone help me with a build? Also can you let me know why I need the parts in the build?

From what I can tell, I need a watchmon core kit with a shunt and expansion board for any extra switching. I am not sure if I need a cellmate K9 for each tesla module.

Thanks,
Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are 2 available options - https://www.batrium.com/collections/kits

- WatchMon-CORE for 'mons' - external units (up to 200+ of them) out at the cells and are networked with twisted pair wires to the core. Longmon is the generic mon. **I use this approach.

- WatchMon-CORE for K9 - the monitoring units are consolidated at the core and wires extend out to the cells. Note: the K9 superceeds the MultiMon so it's the suggested approach for this style - https://www.batrium.com/collections/kits/products/multimon-mm8

I use Midnite Classic 150s + AIMS ETL inverters. The AIMS have been solid performers for me - 4yrs and counting. One issue, they are only ordinary efficiency - I run as much as 20% losses (DC -> AC) at lower power levels.

I also have an all-in-one (AIO) MPP Solar 3048LV that's doing quite well. They make 6000w MPP Solar and these can be synchronized up to 9 of them to reach a pretty good power level. I have 2 x 12,000w AIMS but of course they don't synchronize so I have to wire separate circuits to each one.

Too big of a question - but from this post you seem to have a good grasp on things. Perhaps work up a wiring diagram showing components, bus, breakers and ask for review.

Yes, the expansion module for either Batrium COREs above is basically a rely board for controlling external stuff.

Thanks,
Any help is greatly appreciated.
