Hi all,

I have two Tesla S modules managed by Batrium WatchmonPlus WM5 and connected to Victron Multiplus II 48/3000/35-32GX.All devices firmware is up to date. I can not force them to discharge battery below 3.4V per pack which is 40.8V limit. Any one has got any idea what is wrong with it? Please see provided screenshots. Any suggestions?

Regards,

18650 3.4v/cell is typically past the discharge curve knee of (3.5v)'ish where the remaining power drops off quickly. I cut my inverters off at3.50v-3.54v.
I say this to be encouraging... as I would not go below 3.4v even if it could to help prolong my battery bank life :)

Hello Hank
I came across an entry in the forum, check this: https://secondlifestorage.com/showthread.php?tid=7966&pid=60869#pid60869

Hi Carel,

Thank you for your time. I understand it is a common issue with Victron and Tesla modules. I thought the cutoff voltage for Tesla modules is 3.3V but looks like I was wrong. I will stick to 3.4V

Hank

Hi, thanks for quick explanation. As I mentioned to Carel, I thought the cutoff voltage for teslas is 39.6V for 12s configuration (20% SOC). But good to know that it is not possible to force Victron to go below 40.8V, so I will stick to 3.4V. Thats mean I have to repack teslas or start praying for more scrap laptop batteries and build up nice 14s wall.

Hank

Hi Hank, would you be able to share your critical, charging and cellmon settings too?

Hi Hank,

Thanks for sharing your setting, i was trying to figure settings for my own setup and i thought it be good to ask others on how they setup their BMS.

I have a few questions (purely because i'm confused and learning myself):

1. My understanding of the Multiplus 2 is that its a 35A charger.. so in the charge target section of the batrium is normal power supposed to be set to 35A given its all it can do?

2. In the critical tab, i thought the 2.7 was a little low.. how did you come up with this voltage level?

2a. Upon further inspection i see you're using the Li-ion performance settings from the batrium, should this not be corrected for the use on the Tesla modules as i think Li-ion performance is for a different cell setup.
