I think Batrium will do it expensively, but is there another BMS I can use with 16 CALB cells in conjunction with this inverter? It needs to mimic a Pylontech or LG Chem I guess.
Am I right in thinking that a Daly with CAN would not work due to Solax proprietary protocols?

Hi,
I am using a Lux powertek AC coupled inverter connected to a reconfigured nissan leaf modules in a 3P7S configuration. (58v at cell v 4.14v)

I bought a Zeva BMS from australia.

I asked them for support in getting the canbus communicate with the Lux inverter.
I contacted Lux for their canbus commands.
I sent those commands to Zeva, and he slighlty modded his canbus to add the lux canbus requirements.

Result a perfectly working nissan leaf pack 3P7S working with the lux inverter comms via canbus, all working perfectly for nealry 2 years now.

Hope this helps.

Useful info, thanks. SolaX guard their protocol and are apparently useless at responding to customer requests, but no doubt it is out there somewhere. I've been discouraged by a report on the comprehensive Australian battery testing site that had issues with CALB cells and separate BMS, so for the moment playing safe and getting some Pylontech storage. But if I can pick up cells at a good price in the future I'll likely give it a shot.

you can always use the solax lead acid setting, but alter the max and min voltage to match the voltage profile of your cell pack.

i tested that in an older solax sksu37 inverter with my leaf battery. that also worked ok.

if i remember i used 56v upper setting and 49v lower setting.
