Hi,
Can some one recommend me affordable BMS for nissan leaf modules.

regards.

Very vague question... What type of load and what is your price point. How much balancing current do you require? If your cells are well balanced then you can get away without a high balance current and move into a more affordable monitoring only solution like a Bluetooth board.

Define affordable?

What are your must and nice to have demands?

You can use the WM4 with the leaf mons or the WM5 (I have WM5 for my leaf wall) the leaf mons and WM4 will balance a pack faster thou.

Any other BMS that can work... other than wm4/wm5 ?

I'm using a cheap generic 60A BMS, but then using a dc/dc buck converter with a Tyco contactor. That handles the voltage constraints for each cell and whole battery. I also have it fused with a type-T fuse (which you should anyways even if you have a BMS that can use a shunt to monitor current and shutdown).

I have one of those 2A active balancers too.

I'll eventually get a full featured BMS.

I'm only using this on 14 leaf modules right now, although I'm working on adding 49 more.

Also, the offgridsolar book guy sells https://ogsolarstore.com/collections/store-battery-pack/products/bms-and-stack-switch-gear but it cost more then what i've spent collecting 63 leaf modules so far.
