I have (4) LG EM048126P3S7 batteries connected to (2) EG4-6000XP inverters. The two don't talk and the LG BMS times out after 11 minutes and disconnects. I'm looking at possible solutions and it seems new BMS' might be the best solution. Can anyone recommend the closest solution for a plug and play replacement BMS option (or other)?

Hi Everyone, I haven't seen a reply here. I'm an engineer professionally, but I don't have a background with these BMS comms. If anyone does and might be open to paid consulting work, I would be happy to work with you. Please DM me. Thanks!!

Considering the majority of users here are from the US and you posted not only on a weekend, it is also a major holiday here in the US. So the chances of getting a reply are pretty low atm. Give it some more time and see what happens. I do know there are some who have worked on those, so maybe they'll chime in later

Hi there I have Deye SUN-6K-SG04LP1-AU inverter and LG ESS EM048126P3S7 batteries. I am experiencing problems with communication. While the Deye inverter has 8 8-pin RJ45, the batteries have 10 pins. There is some mismatch I can't figure out, and LG is not helpful at all. Does anyone have those batteries and know what is the comm protocol of those pins. I tried 6 and 8 and there seem to be a partial comm the battery always shuts down after 9 min. Please help

For figuring out the communication pins

There are usually 120 Ohm resistors at the end of each CAN network. You should be able to saw a spare RJ45 cable into individual strands, and measure which have 120 Ohm resistance between them. Note, this assumes that the terminating resistors are present. Measure with everything OFF.

You could also try logging CAN messages with an external tool, to see if each component is working.

What I mean I managed to establish communication but they still shut down after 9 min.....

I have these Batteries too just a 14S 3P model 189ah. I have looked at the BMS's and it seems like there should be a way to swap the BMS out by pulling the cover off the front of the module and then swapping in a different one. I'm curious if anyone has done this if someone has documented the color codes for the battery leads. This is my first post on the forum so if I didn't do something correctly posting this here please feel free to let me know. I've attached a picture of the balance lead that is coming from the pack. That is what is connected to the original LG Chem BMS.
