Cant connect to Watchmon 4

Greetings everyone,

I have received my Watchmon 4 in the mail a couple of days ago and I have now finally found some time to play with it.

There was a piece of paper on it saying I need to update the firmware first so I downloaded the toolkit software, plugged in the Watchmon 4 with USB but I simply cant connect to it.

I tried installing the teensy usb driver but it says the driver is all ready present.
The big LED close to the USB port and the one to the right side of the watchmon are both solid red.


In my devices it shows up as CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller. Clicking on it reveals it has no driver. And again the Teensy Driver installer says its all ready present.

Am I missing something?

Have the same issue on 2 different pc's, oh and on the other one it doesnt even show up in the devices

yeah it hasCP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller under the Other devices section and a yellow ! icon. Opening it it says under Device Status "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)


There are no compatible drivers for this device.


To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver."

Using the Update driver box doesnt find anything anywhere.

In the toolkit software when I click on Connect it shows me the COnnection Selector. I can select USB, then Comm Port Auto. Clikcing connect does nothing and I cant enter anythign into the Sytem ID field or any of the other fields.
btw, running windows 10

I installed it manually and it does get recognised properly in the device manager
I can go into the watchmon toolkit software, into the connection selector and chosse COM3.
But thats as far as I get. Cant enter any details below.

Watchmons Big LED goes green a few times just after plugging it in. Thats new.
 
did you receive firmware update?
 
Recieved mine yesterday, I have the exact same problem, also tried two computers and manually installed the drivers. No connection at all...

Got mine yesterday also... same problem... Email from Batrium says to wait for an email from Bruno before using...

Here is quote from Batrium email:

"When many of you start receiving your starter kits, please wait till you receive the invite from Bruno with the link to the installer and documentation.If you are having significant difficulty (check the yet to be emailed link). Just a reminder we can also provide one-on-one support using tools such as Teamviewer to see your session and help resolve any problems."

Oh yes true!!! forgot about that email. I guess that solves the problem them.

Yes postage happened VERY fast - just wait for the email and I'll make Jaron aware of this thread.

Me too ... same .. can't upgrade firmware :huh:

interesting thing to note on the support document in the photos the software is version 1.0.31.6 while installed i have 1.0.31.0...... hmm
 
if you installed 1.0.30 uninstall it from the batrium menu and install version 1.0.31.6 that's the one you want

but 1.0.31.0 is the newest one i find on the website and the updater doesnt show me 1.0.31.6 either. Where did you get it from?
