make sure regenerative enable is checked, regen voltage limit 12.6v, regen current limit 30A, the rest can be left like it is also make sure regen is checked in these places

The manual is horrible But I HATE the button, my thumb is usually quite sore after I setting up the X8 for the different chemistries, series size of cells that I have .

I will have to top this pack back up to 4.1 V before getting the correct cap, but that is fine.
You should be able to use the cycle function then, to C/D the 1s pack from the 3s pack that's what I do. I also run it to 4.2V (I know it gives you a warning) but as long as your sense wires are good you will be all set. I can do a C/D cycle on 3 1s packs till I have to switch to another 3s pack to absorb the discharge. Dont know why you can't get it to 30A though. Possibly the setup as @floydR posted.

Thanks all, I think it is working now. I had everything set as it should. Don't know why it didn't. But thanks for the info, I now know I was doing it right.
And floydR I agree, I have cursed that wheel and button a hundred times already!:D

How is the testing going?

Later floyd
So far 3 packs tested (takes about 13 hours going each way). They are coming in at 400 Ahr, which is expected (the icharger goes from 4.1 V to 3.1 V--if all the cells were 100% at 2.6 Ahrs each, it would be 416 Ahs--but that would be 4.2 to 3.0 V).
In the mean time I have run to 120 V line from shed to garage. Not into the garage yet, that will be today, but to the garage.
Then I have to get an electrician to pull the permit and put in the sub panel that will run 6 select circuits in the house.

That sounds reasonable and glad to read that you're making good progress. Is that 400ah per pack? that would be a pretty good size pack!

Wonderful. My icharger just bit the dust.
When I plug it in, all I get is "Incon ON Error" and the fan constantly runs.
and that's it. Of course I bought it months ago knowing I was going to need it, so it is out of warranty. Now dead in the water until a new one arrives.

Where did you buy it?
I bought mine from Progressive RC and it crapped out within a year just like yours.
I emailed support and they said send it in and we will look at it.
They determined it was a defect and replaced it free of charge.
Progressive RC highly recommended Wolf

Thanks I am checking into that right now. I got it off of Amazon. Ahhh, I think it was progressive that I got it from--that is what they list. I have emailed them to see. Turns out I just got this in January--but generally electronic are 90 days. Still, I can hope.

If you burn off the 120w the regenerative discharge is putting into the iCharger power source battery as the test is underway - the iCharger power source battery will retain its voltage and you don't have to discharge/charge it much between tests.

The iCharger will show you the watts being discharged (maybe 120w in regenerative mode) so you know how much to pull. Maybe a 12v inverter + 100w light-bulb or even a variable AC source if you have one for fine tuning.

Thanks again Wolf, my icharger was indeed from Progressive. I contacted, returned it, and they just sent it back fixed or a new one--can't tell which as they said nothing, just sent shipping info. Either way, saved me money, thanks.
