The battery gods smiled on me. I picked up 5 "bad"18v Bosch 6AH batteries for 20 buckslocally over the weekend. As it turns out all that's wrong with them is the main fuse is blown out inside the cover :D . All cells tested perfect. I don'tknow if they had a bad batch of fuses go into these batteries or what, but it might be worth a look to see if you can find any for yourself.

Cells are never glued in these batteries, it's just a very tight fit inside the custom mold. I'm not aware of a general problem with the fuse on the 6.0Ah model so it's a bit weird that you managed to find so many of them at once while it's usually difficult to even find them one by one. Especially because they usually aren't very old so basically all of them are unter warranty with Bosch and they will exchange them if they are faulty. So not sure why someone would actually give them away.

Oh and by the way, it's probably too late now, but if you would have replaced the fuse you could probably have sold them for more than what ten INR18650-30Q cost ;)

I was told thatthat once those caps the cover some of the casescrews have been tampered with thewarranty is null andvoid. TBH,I'd much rather incorporate these cells in my wall at this pricerather than spend my timerepairingand reselling used batteries.

Not sure where you are but if you're in the US, the FTC has stated that those "void if broken" stickers cannot be enforced. It's illegal for the manufacturer to void warranties based on that.

The "Void if Removed" or anything of the sort is no longer valid (well, really never was but now is enforced by the Supreme Court) in the US. So even if he took the pack apart, he could still submit it for warranty replacement if it's still within the warranty "date"

These are rated at 15A each. This means they will run cool if used at a "normal" amp draw. They are probably the most popular cell for electric bikes. Due to the higher current, they might also be useful for a smaller portable pack, if you ever needed a porta pack...

If using 4 cells to get 12V, then 50 cells would be (48) 12P...times 15A = 180A (2160W)

For 7S / 24V (49 cells), you could get 7P X 15A = 105A (2500W)

Of course you could add more 30Q's, but even now...these are impressive numbers for an inverters start-up amps when applying a load.
