I might be interested in buying some cells within the next one or two months and I got a couple of questions:

Did you test some of the LEV50N cells for their remaining capacity? I assume that they will have most of their original capacity if it was a car from 2014 and given the fact that they are specified for 5500 cycles?

I probably need 7 or 14 cells. Is that ok for you or do you only sell them in multiples of 8?

Do you also supply the original connectors? Can you post a picture to show how they look? I'm thinking about 7s2p so I'd have to fit at least 2 connectors to most terminals. Are they long enough to do that?

Will 14 cells still fit into the plywood box or is a pallet needed?

Hey Carel,

If only you were closer to Australia, I'd probably make my wife angry buying too many :p

Awesome batteries...Good luck with the sale mate.

On request some more detailed info on the Yuasa cells: LEV40/LEV50
weight per cell: approx.1kg

dimensions:
LEV40
35mm x 110mm x 170mm thickness x height x lenght
LEV50
45mm x 100mm x 170mm

image_imjowl.jpg

pictures show LEV40 and LEV50

Capacity: expect 85% or better:
Bernd, based in Pegnitz Germany bought my forelast i-MIEV drive pack, buildyear 2014 39000km
his set-up was 14S6P technically a 52,5V 300Ah battery 15.75Kwh, his testresults:
Leistung absolut ok 280 AH 14,700 KWh 85 % ----10 % 4,05 V ----------3,3 V

Current battery for sale had same roadlife (more or less) + build year

I will add some detailed pictures of pack modules later the day.
But they come in 4-cellplastic containers.
Since these cells are connected in series the number of cell connectors is limited.
Making a parallel cell connection will need extra cell connectors,
my advise is to make your own busbars using copper flatbar 20mm x 2or3mm fitting ones design.

update with added photo's

Thank you Carel!

I'll get back to you as soon as I've sorted out the work I've to do before it makes sense for me to get the cells :)

good morning I need 8 LEV50 cells.
I would need 2 blocks of 4 cells (LEV50-4) with its Bms included and mounted.
How much would ship to Spain?

regards Carel

Hello Potri,
Missed your post yesterday, it may be safer to sent me e-mail to c.hassink@pro-lox.nl

As to your questions:
Only 2 blocks of LEV50N-4 with 4cell bmsin every donorcar + 10xLEV50N-4 x2, with 8cell bms

My current stock of LEV50 (till Q3-2013) or LEV50N from (Q3-2013) cells sold out.

I've purchased another Peugeot i-ON for it's battery, build 2013 17kkm,
but before it's at my workshop we have end of January 2019 at best.

Sure if you want me to I can put you on my list, sent me an e-mail including contact details.

Shipping low numbers can be done by GLS,
in plywood box:cost upto 8 cells or less is 45 to Spain

LEV50N cells are priced at 47.50/pcs incl. VAT
including bms

I do have many LEV40N prismatic cells +400pcs from 2014/2016 donorcars, can get you BMS boards too
pricing 285, incl VAT per LEV40-8 including bms board, 2x LEV40-8 blocks can ship in 1 plywoodbox for 45 to Spain
= 2.4Kwh of battery.

We now distribute SIMPbms, based on Teensy3.2 with proprietary shield that works with LEV40N cmu (LEV50N CMU in testlab, progress is being made)
it hooks up via canbus to the LEV40-8 CMU, and works with VICTRON inverters using Venus GX or Color GX.
see photo of test rigg
SIMPbms will work with oem cmu's from VW TESLA GS-YUASA, can-control over Brusa, Eltek Elcon chargers, Victron inverters,
(just starting software engineering on SMA inverters SMA Sunny Island LV dcrange, SMA Sunny Boy Storage HV dc range)

Simpbms is priced at 300 ex VAT, open source software on Github by Tom d'Bree, based on earlier work by Collin Kidder
