Hi,

I have been trying to find out what kind of chemistry these cells have, as I am not keen on using LCO cells.

Now I've found two different data sheets for this cell

Once it is shown as LCO in another as NMC.
Could it be that there has suddenly been a change of chemistry in the same model?
Is there a production date on the cells?
I couldn't find anything about this from Eve :-(

The EVE manufacturer label the cell as ICR cell which is a Lithium cobalt oxide chemistry also known as LiCoO, LCO, and ICR of course.
Check out the Battery Chemistry Matrix xlx sheet. No credit on my part but I found it quite a while back made some minor formatting changes and thats about it. Its a good reference sheet with a lot of links that explain things.
Not sure about a date code but you could send an email to a couple of vendors that sell the EVE cells and see if they have a clue.

Thank you for your answer and the interesting xls.
I've been looking into the chemistry of lithium ion cells for a while because I want to understand what I'm building into my PowerWall.
I don't like LCOs because of their increased risks, and I also had a few heaters at the beginning, all LCOs.

But now there are apparently manufacturers who change their chemistry over the years.
A good example, which is also more clearly labelled, is the MG1 from LG, which was changed from an ICR to an IMR.
My guess is that it is similar with the EVE.
Especially as the internal resistance of 20mOhm does not speak in favour of LCO.
My requests to suppliers and EVE remained unanswered.
 
Oh, I think I'm about to go mad.
I've done a bit of searching on the net.
And it seems to be similar with the EVE as with the LG.
Because the weight and internal resistance will change from 2020.
I also found a safety data sheet from Zündapp / Greenway in which the cells are also clearly designated as Li-NMC (LiNixCoyMnzO2).
