Hi all. My names John, and I’m new here after just installing a FoxESS H1 6.0E inverter, Renault Zoe 22kwh battery and a Stark CMR v2 emulator.

Bit by bit I’ve worked out the kinks, but I’m now stuck with a ‘Batt Volts Fault’ code on the inverter.

This doesn’t seem to be à fault discussed on the GitHub page for the inverter or battery.

I’ve confirmed I'm getting 370ish Volts at the battery input terminals, so the contactors are closing appropriately and if I unplug the RJ45 plug going from inverter to the Stark, I also get a BMS lost error, so I assume the CAN communication with the CMR & battery is ok?

Any advice gratefully received as I'm desperate to get it working but seem to have hit a brick wall!

Photos of various aspects for info purposes….

An update to this….

I still need help please!

I’ve updated the inverters firmware and can now see more detail:

The inverter shows a battery over voltage alarm.
Looking at advanced settings, all cells show 3.300v but cells 9,10,11 & 12 show 0v. This isn’t something I can change, but it’s within settings, so I'm not sure if this is info from the BMS to the inverter? Also odd is the emulator shows all the cells over 3.300v (more like 3.947v) so is this the cause of the ‘over volt’? Is this a setting I can change somewhere?

Thanks in advance!
John.

Solution found on the Discord forum….
For those who made the same mistake and got this error, I had the pre-charge relay and main relay triggers mixed up. Why this would give an over voltage and not a low voltage I don’t know, but apparently it’s a common mistake! Hope that helps!

Glad you found a solution and thanks for sharing - just waaaay outside my wheelhouse to be of any help.

Thanks you! No problem, it’s one of those problems that’s easy to diagnose once you’ve seen it! I did LOADS of searching before posting about it, but came up blank - between this and the addition to the Wiki, I hope I’ve saved someone else the grey hairs my mistake has caused me!! :ROFLMAO:
