I tried using an old one for my 3s 34p room power wall... didn’t realize it was a dead ups until after building the pack, guess it only had one life...

Check out my build on an APC UPS 1500. They are 24V units and lend themselves to a Li-io conversion quite well.

APC UPS’s never die. You didn’t just hook up your battery and hope it fly did you? Sometimes mines will come on sometimes not. But always when I plug up the mains for 10 seconds. They fly.

Very nice! And safe too. I seen worst battery builds, all I have to do is look at my first ones. Yikessssss.

we toss sooooo many UPS's at the hospital i work at (biomed). Its cheaper for the companies to send a whole new unit with new batteries than to send a tech out to diagnose and repair. We also have "up-time" clauses in out contracts that need quick turnaround times.

i probably have half a dozen or so left right now. (space got tight and had to toss some) this is my future goal. 18650 ups
