Hey all

I'm starting my powerwall journey :)

my plan is 14s 200p 2p

The lockdown here in NZ has allowed me so far to test 6000 Ncr18650bd cells which is enough for 28 cells and 2 spare cells.
Im at the point where the first 500 cells are coming to the end of their 1 month stand period before i can check the voltages for any self dischargers.

Congratulations for getting off to a pretty good start!Looking forward to some pics is you care to share.

Small update:

finally finished testing all 8000 Ncr18650bd cells.

The first 2000 cells have come out of their 1 month standing period and all are over 4.13v mostly 4.15v and 1500 are 3100mah or over.
im aiming for 3100mah and above for my wall, will see if i have enough cells.

Hi everyone,

wondering if anyone can help me out,
Im having trouble setting up a watchmon 4 which has been sittng in a box for 2 years lol.
Anyway im connected to the wm supervisor buy the Batrium usb cable and i have 14 longmons wired up and everything is connected to the wm.
When i start the wizard setup and input the battery details and enter the supplied pin i get "Not Authorized to be in setup mode"

Where have i gone wrong?

Im running WatchMon Toolkit 2.17.15

Thanks! I guess it's the software?
As I had no choice on firmware.

"Not Authorized to be in setup mode"
I believe that means you need to input the "pin code/password" it is usually on the back of the WM4 as a series of 6 numbers to make supervisor changes.

Hi, im using the supplied pin with no luck.

What version of watchmon tool kit is everyone running with wm4?

i think my software and firmware are correct

Hardware ver 4.3
Firmware ver 4.17.78
Software ver 2.17.15

I ve emailed Batrium and they sent me the same link as hbpowerwall, they asked for a snapshot and a few other details and i havent heard back from them.....

I believe you have to use the USB connection to change into Supervisor mode - wifi option won't let you do it. You have to actually plug in the USB cable and connect thru that.

I'm connected via USB.

Batrium got back to me yesterday. They seam pretty useless...

Beautiful work! What was the problem/solution to get going w/Batrium?
Cheers mate!

The watchmon4 had the wrong details on the back eg. sys, sn and pin numbers.
then i made things worse by trying different software and firmware versions 😅

Had to wipe the firmware and start again, the whole process only took 15mins, happy now its all sorted :)

This is half of the battery, i hope to eventually get a shipping container as i have another 9000 ncr18650bd cells all tested and ready to be built into packs

Thanks for everyone's help(y)
