having trouble finding software for Esmart-40A

Can someone post on here or on Youtube, a configuration video for this charge controller. I ordered one based on "Old Time Engineer" and "My PlayHouse" using it. however I have not seen any configuration videos.

The charger controller you have looks like a PCM clone. So the software could probably work.

Can you post a link to the videos where you saw this unit being used?

And have you tried the software that not2bme posted?

LOL yeah! :p

That's a small unit. My Playhouse video he's holding it in one hand. Must weigh about 10lbs max!
I don't see how that unit can do 2000W output. That transformer is tiny (altho, I suppose for being a charge controller only, it might be ok)


After watching those, the only thing I noticed was that My Playhouse had issues with connecting the USB/RS485 to windows 10. Are you able to get it to detect and load properly? No Yellow exclamation in Device Manage, right?
 
I have the software in an email somewhere but it wont let me forward it. I havent used it yet either. Im still charging lead acids with it yet. I had the 40A version but I let out some magic smoke by not turning off the panel breaker before disconnecting the battery. Now i have the 60A WiFi version. Both were great!!

Did anyone get the software to work? I haven't tried it yet but maybe tomorrow afternoon ill have some time to try it.

Also you mentioned you 'plug into a router or laptop'. It's a RS485 cable, so if it didn't come with a cable you need to purchase it. It's not a ethernet cable.

I finally got my unit plugged in and testing. Had to search for this article for the link to the software :angel:


Btw, the password is 'mpptsolar' for the software. Had to search the internet for that!
