Hello, I had a recovery battery and their capacity is 2900mah, I tested 5 of them they are between 2650/2700mah at 65MR, but the problem is when I disassemble the battery I damaged one battery and I would like to know if I keep it or not, the battery pack and in my category of 2500mah and +, I only have 7 in total, 5 from the battery and 2 electronic cigarette batteries (1 = 2642/ 3500, 2=3056/3000 20MR), thank you for your help.

You can keep it as long as there is no hole in it.
But for your own safety, i'd advise you to put a new plastic insulator onto it. They can be bought very cheap on amazon and aliexpress.

Don't use that one WAY to damaged. I would maybe use one that had one small dent and that has many so not worth the risk.

Yeah, if there are holes of any kind, toss them. If there are significant dents, toss them. If there are scratches, toss them (you can get around this by resealing the area as long as the scratch is only surface deep; cells are nickel plated, steel casing is underneath and can rust)

I think we need a closer picture of those two spots with some better lighting angles to make a better judgement call

Yeah, much better angles on those pictures. That one dent looks pretty decent, but might not really cause any issues. Pretty borderline on that reasoning, tho.
To be safe, I'd not use it in production packs and only in single or double cell applications like remote sensors and such, tbh. If you only have 1 cell like that, not worth trying to "save a buck" and use it and something bad comes of it later down the road.

ok, I have a zoom lamp where you need 2 batteries, I would put it in if needed, it will be better than the batteries supplied with the lamp, thank you all
