Hello
I am trying to make a 12v battery for motorbike the lead acid one i have is rated at 170amps, so i need to keep to this.

The LiFePO4 Battery cells i have in mind have a max current of 50 amps for 10 seconds, plan a 4s battery of course, would i have to make a 3s4p to handle a potential of 170 amps cranking amps?

Thank you

For a 12v battery replacement for a motorbike / car, you would need 4s, not 3s.
If you put 4 in parallel, it should handle it without a problem, you could even go with just 3p.

Yes i ment 4p, thank you

So a 4s1p battery that had cells rated at 50 amps would have a combined current rating of 200amps?

I would make battery 3p anyway

Thanks

No, it would still have a rating of 50 amps.

3p would still be fine, since motorcycle/car batteries are often overrated.
