I started posting my build logs but I thought I'd make a quick intro.
I'm an EE from Minneapolis, MN, USA. By day I design power electronics for various OEMs - treadmill drives, boat lift controllers, etc. I have some experience with solar and batteries from college and previous jobs (plus a brief stint working with actual Tesla Powerwalls), so I'm not a total noob, but this is my first powerwall build.
I started watching HBPowerwall's videos and chanced upon a good opportunity to rebuild an old battery, which led to my First Powerwall Project. This build is a ~6 kWh on-grid system made from an old solar car battery, which itself was built by me and my friends 8 years ago. Power will be provided by up to8 4 kw of weird solar panels from a defunct company I used to work for.
Some day I want to build an off-grid system for a cabin or something, but that's more of a pipe dream at the moment.
