Hi,

I'm a guy from the Netherlands. I got interested a few years ago, when VICE pointed me to jehu and jehu pointed me to hb. I've been lurking around for too long so I tought about registering today. I've been testing cells for the past two years with 8 OPUS chargers. A friend of mine then borrowed them and modded them with extra fans, a lasercut housing and a server PSU with Arduino to measure Amp usage. Since then I've been testing full steam ahead, and I want to start counting cells this week. I think it will be around 10.000. I want to build a powerwall to buffer power usage during the night when our solar panels don't supply enough ;). I've got 60 solar panels on our shed that should be enough for 10,8 kWp, but I still have to attach them to the grid 🙈

Right now I'm tinkering about how to build a standardised system for my powerwall that's also low-maintenance.

Welcome @tafkaw and Hallo from Utrecht.
You salvaged 10.000cells but you still didnt make any Powerwalls yet ?
I have 24V SBMS and 500 Lifepo4 cells on hand for sale.

That inverter could handle 10.8kWp or you will use parallel Mppt chargers ?

Good luck

Thanks for your warm welcome @floydR @Engineer34 and @italianuser .

@floydR Let's see how deep this rabbithole goes...

@Engineer34 No step by step. Still have to do 1200 laptop batteries or so. The inverter I'm showing is a Goodwe 15KN-DT, so 3-phase, 2 MPPT trackers, capable of doing 15kWp. Bought it for €800 with minor transport damage, but tested OK.

@italianuser This is the Netherlands, so not much sun anyway :) No, this was one of my first transports from the recycler.

@tafkaw That looks great inverter. I guess i still have a few Litekoola 500i testers. I am not salvaging cells anymore.
I know it is important to test more cells/day. If you want you can borrow them for a few months. Free not Dutch style :)
