Home PowerDrive V2 - Germany ** 50+ kWh ** Big Power ++

Hello I have a same project like you
I have made 5 x 80p and I have to made finaly 9x 80p
So I am searching to 720 cells 18650 of 2000 to 2100 mAh
where did you find your recycled batteries ?
Thanks

Update: The first 14 packages are ready for assembly.

Now the packagers come through my 3D printer

"Tronxy X5s (30x30x40cm)"

Each print takes about 5 hours at a layer height of 0.2mm

Hallo walde, ich bin Adeniran.

Please am very much interested about in those BMS that you got there..... looks pretty effective especially with the resistor on the boards plus the wifi makes its formidable.
please i have no idea on how to use github but am open to learn how the board was built and constructed . Thanks

Halo Adeniran,

On github you will find everything you need for the BMS project.
The material parts lists, the board plans to let you make the boards in China and also the complete code for the ESP and Attiny CPU as Adrduino code. There is also a forum for the project and some videos on Youtube.

Hallo Walde,

Herzlich willkommen :)

I have also printed the pack holder (made of ABS +). Are you satisfied with the load capacity so far?

Have 840 cells active at time with 7.5KW 7500Watt / hours
and the second set with 840 cells is being built.

I need 15kw / hour on each case because I simply have too much consumption in my house in the evening and at night and currently in the summer.

I hope that I get to Christmas on 30kw / hours of batteries. We'll see.

I just have a major problem that the inverter has smoked me and that already after about 60 days and just nothing goes (Error 09 at the inverter)

I am currently working on the repair.
Unfortunately EASUN was not useful for the service,
I will not buy any more at those.

Have now one of Steca PLI-5000 is a Voltronic 5000VA / 48V with max 66V with 24 months warranty from Germany.

have today extended to 15kw / h.

Have the system running until noon today, Batteries were full and have the inverter from the network taken (switching to shore power).
Have left one of the solar charger 60min Nachlauf. Batteries were so far full at 4.10 +/- 0.03.
Then I started to switch the new battery set in parallel +/- 4.15 volts.
Then everything back to the network and until now everything ok ....

I have just the second Voltronic 5000 / 48V defective with error 52 / error 09 nothing works anymore. And so slowly I'm fed up.

Now the Steca PLI-5000 is a Voltronic 5000VA / 48V with max 66V has given up the ghost.

First report problems in the high voltage (DC-DC part) with error 52.

Device shut down and restarted and what have those there. Now he has the mistake 09.

Soimit has held the second Voltronic only a few months. No overvoltage, no problems with the PV and also with the batteries and fuses everything was OK and in the green area.

Maybe you can report whether you have such problems with the PIP / Voltronic devices (for me, the second 48V / 5000VA in a year)

Sorry to hear about all theproblems youre having but I wanted to let you know that i have really enjoyed reading this thread and learning about your setup! I hope you find solutions soon.

Yes, what do you do when everything does not go as you thought it was.

You start to experiment. Just once an old APC UPS taken out of stock and looked for what batteries were installed and luckily, it has 48V as a battery voltage.

Type: APC Smart-UPS 2200RMI 3U / 230v (2200VA/1600W)

As the Powerwall had nothing to do with it, the APC UPS was connected to one of the DC 64 amp backups of the battery bank.

Yes, the APC UPS is running. Short self consumption times measuring and the volts at the transition. All just about 0.9A at 57V = 51 watts

Then klam the test of the phases (N / PE / L) ... now there were problems. Have measured cleanly at the outputs of the UPS 230V AC.

Unfortunately PE is not active. Now UPS again open and yes the PE is looped as expected only from the input 230V to the output. Accordingly without mains supply not active. That's problem NR. 1.

Have a PE grounding connected to the UPS on each case the UPS and the output to ground via PE.

Now could be tested further.

Examining L and N .... Problem Nr. 2 is there is no L or N ????

When testing against PE, it was clear that the 230V AC sine behave as once 55V AC and once 175V AC.

And with that I arrived at problem Nr. 3. If I have no L, how can I use a fuse / RCD or FI there?

I was not prepared for the problem and did not find anything to help me with my research on the internet.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can only note at the current time that the model UPS should not be used as an inverter replacement since the fuses in the power grid, seemingly give me size problems in the point of security.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

**** If you have other experiences with other UPS models, I would be glad about information.

Especially as far as the safety of the 230V AC output is concerned. ***

thanks
