Someone on the FB bought... 360Ah cels (360 !!!!)
It has OCP errors...

360Ah isn't impossible, they are available. Altho it is odd to get them second hand already as they are relatively new to the market.
Just because the QR code isn't readable doesn't make them fake, just means they aren't in the database. It does make them suspect, though.

Not sure what the 2nd picture is conveying here, are the plastic caps incorrectly placed?? You haven't really provided much information about these cells.
Also, what are the dimensions of the cells? The thickness to be >320Ah is most likely going to be about 84mm. If these are 72mm, then they are in fact not 360Ah cells, unless they are taller than standard, which is 207mm.

Now, it is possible if the labeling is incorrect, then that might be why they are on the market, and would also explain the QR not being listed. As they would technically be "defective" from a manufacturing process, and instead of throwing them out, they just sell them as B or C grade cells and still make a little money off of them.

360A = They are available where?
I've only seen them on shady AliExpress pages, not in any tests, nor with a QR code.

Some Chinese sellers are selling 314Ah as 320-330Ah, but 360Ah is a little too far.

The batteries were bought 2 months ago.

The QR code is a label, not laser-etched.

Under the black plastic cover, there is the laser-etched code, but it is also unreadable.

I've asked for the size (mm), I'll be back when/if there is any info.

360Ah is available. Tho their dimensions are: 207*174*72mm

Altho, note that they are "rated" as 345Ah but they are "tested" to have 360Ah. So that might be what the FB seller is showing, the tested capacity, not the rated capacity.

Having the QR code as a sticker on top of the plastic protector isn't anything new. Altho, the QR should have relevance to the one etched on the cell.
I'm not sure if there are other apps that can do the QR scanning for the cells. So I'm not sure if they'd be valid. I'm guessing they are "lower graded" cells due to some manufacturing issue, most likely with the casing. But, I would definitely be questioning the validity like you are doing.

It's hard to verify capacity without taking the time to do it. Numbers can be fudged on someones page/results that is on a marketplace. Maybe you can make an agreement that you won't pick them up if you can't return them if they don't have the capacity they are being sold as.
Altho, kind of depends on the price they are going for, too. If they are actually 280Ah cells and you are still getting that or higher during tests and they are cheaper than new 280Ah cells on the market, then still a win.

Hi all,
What about the so called "old stock". What's the problem with it? Lifepo4 cells has virtually no self discharge and thus can stay for years on shelves. Of course if not stored in severe negative temperatures, but normally it's not the case..

Old stock is just normally unused cells that have sat for a few years. They have to get rid of them either for new product lines or just due to date issues for warranty and such.
Generally those are fine, especially if after doing a capacity test they are really close or higher than advertised Ah/Wh. Most cells are stored in warm enough temps that not being used will degrade them.

Thanks for the reply :). Of course there are always old stocks to get rid of, sometimes with really good discount, which makes not a bad deal, I suppose. Ether way all I have seen is an old stock within a year, which haven't been bad for the price I got.
