How to slow down inrush current?

Guys, this is my first post after my introduction post,
and I don't know a tenth of what ya'll apparently do,
however I do have a problem and figure someone somewhere may have the solution.
I am wanting to slow down the inrush current of amps to my inverter.
it is a AIMS 24Vto 220V 5K inverter and I need help.
does anyone know of a solution?

I am assuming you are referring to when you first hook up the inverter to your battery the capacitors inside the inverter need to be charged and there is a large spark when you make the 2nd connection.
If that is the case all you need to do is get yourself a 10Ω to 30Ω 100W resistor and put it in series with the connecting wire touch the connecting terminal for a couple of seconds to precharge the capacitors and then hook your cable up. You should now be able to connect without a large spark.
