I have many 18650 cells that don't pass my tests for pack use and I hate to toss stuff, so I need ideas to use them. I already have like 10 flashlights, 15 laser pointers, etc. I'm looking for a idea for a battery bank where I can can each cell without soldering or welding so when the old ones are dead I can replace one easy.

If you don't like tossing stuff because of the environment, then recycling them properly is the best you can do. If you don't like tossing stuff because of tossing stuff then you could make a tabletop out of it with epoxy.

I recycle mine that doesnt pass. If they havent passed they havent passed and should continue to the recycling. To me a cell dont get a 2nd chance since i dont want to gamle with it.

I wound up with several 100 cells with high IR / over 200mOhms. They tested OK otherwise - including good capacity - but could not use them in the powerall. So I used them in one of my APC UPSs ... as batteries in these APCs simply 'sit there' at a float voltage waiting for a power outage -e.g. the IR doesn't matter as much.

The battery is 14s12p Sony G5/G7(s) that I had left over because they average 200mOhm IR - no good for my powerwall but OK for an APC UPS battery. The battery sits at about 3.95v/cell and provides UPS services as my off-grid system ATSs between inverter and grid twice a day.
