Battery Clearinghouse has the LG M26 packs back in stock (for as long as they last). These are greats cells for a great price, just requires some cleaning as they are in rubber packs of 20.
(I have no affiliation with Battery Clearinghouse, just a far of the cells).

And I see the RING packs are back after a hiatus for a month or 2. These are also great cells for the price in my opinion - I have a couple of thousand of them now :)
 
Ye sure you are no affiliate and just a fan. I know how you are you want me to buy another 1500 cells so I can build a 5th 14s80p. You know how I just can't pass up a good deal.

They did up the price a bit (from 80 to $120 a lot), but still a good deal.
The important thing is, I now have enough cells to up my battery capacity by 1/2.
I am back to tearing apart packs and processing cells.

Yea - I'm at a cross-roads. My battery bank is running just under 40% DOD. Do I continue and try for 20% DOD or 10% DOD? Will the years drag the cells into uselessness regardless of DOD?

There is clearly a curve of DOD vs life - but what does the curve look like at 10, 15, 20years. It could be that the age of the cells renders the DOD vs life-span meaningless - and I just don't know how to think about it properly... to answer the question of whether I should continue.

If I was to start again, I would go with LeFePO4 cells.
Right now, the battery only goes down less than 1/3 of the voltage--from 4.02V a cell to about 3.88V (less than 1/3 of the SOC given where that is in the curve). And it is possible that if I increase it, I still might only get another 4 or so years out of it--especially the way I did not know what I was doing in processing cell originally.
But, I am learning a lot, so I power forward and will figure the rest out as it comes.

You know the answer, MORE!!!! always more :) Once you have your house powered then what about your lawn tools(I am electrifying a tiller/walking tractor), What about your car, Rebuilding power tool batteries, electric bike, electric ATV/UTV, portable batteries for camping, electrify your RV or tiny house...... :D

Have you, or anyone else, compared these LG M26 to the EVE 2550? I got loads of the EVE when they were in the other form factor and have had great results with 99% testing like new. The EVE are significantly cheaper that the LGM26 in the rubber pack and the clean packs are even more expensive. The only thing I noticed is that the casing is somewhat thin because I blew through a couple cells when building packs using a diy spot welder. Now I have a Kweld and would recommend anyone else to skip all the other types of welders because I tried them all and even the similarly priced Chinese ones suck compared to the Kweld.

Haven't tried to EVE. When I got the M2 medpacks, they were selling for $0.50 a cell. I have not see any cheaper than that. But since I build my powerwall all from these cells, I stick with them for homogeneity of IR and capacity.
I could not get the K-weld (could not find anyone selling it in America), I have been very pleased with the Malectrics Arduino welder (I welded 32 AWG wires in my packs--to sever as fuse.28AWG wire on the negative side).

Thanks, not on FB. But I am very happy with the Malectics welder. And I got the Nanowelder (crowd fund raising), got it THE DAY I was done welding up my packs. Got to break it out and give it a try.
