Leaf battery, HV pod neg identification

I know I could turn the battery on and measure with meter
But looking from this angle which is negative and positive
This is the right way up as if just dropped from a car

Well, when you connect the meter probes up, which one is the Red probe connected to when the value shows a positive number?? If the Red probe is on the right terminal and the display is Pos, then that'd make it the Pos terminal

The OP doesn't know. That is why he is asking. he would prefer not to have to turn on the battery to find out. The Leaf has contactors inside the battery enclosure that control the output.

PS. Dala would know the orientation of the plug
Also 400VDC can kill.
