New to solar but would appreciate some help. - system Solar Hybrid with LG lithium battery - have just installed.and appeared working fine as charging battery up from 46% to 55% so tried load to make battery supply but the battery turns off within 5 minutes, tried this a couple of times with the same result but then the Solar portal suddenly showed battery fully charged @ 99% but the same outcome again with the load test - cheers for any help

Sounds like your load is overloading the system

More details are needed to help make an educated guess. We'd need to know at least the model of hybrid inverter, size of the battery bank, the load you're trying to apply

Pictures of these things would definitely help out as well.

Solax - sk-su3700e hybrid inverter - lg chem li-ion 51.8v. 63ah capacity - load test panels producing 2000w , house running at 500w so turned on immersion heater ( (3kw) -thanks

Seems like a good inverter. The manuals show it has quite a few settings for battery type and battery parameters, I suppose you double checked all of those. Just guessing, surely your inverted has also "over" and "under" controls for temperature and other conditions, does the screen show any error at all?

I checked the manuals find here (selecting tab "DATA SHEETS AND DOWNLOADS"): https://www.zerohomebills.com/produ...su3700e-x-hybrid-series-g2-3-7kw/#tab-local_2

These two values seem to be contradictory. Unless what it means is that it can supply AC Output Wattage by load sharing between Battery/Solar/Grid to achieve it's rated output.

So if you switch to battery and try to pull 3kW, then this is overloading the unit, from what I can tell.

Yes I have identical system in UK (the problem one is in Spain) and it should work Solar panel supply / battery supply if available/ then grid to make up

Ahh, ok. Have you double verified the settings between the two units? Perhaps there's a setting that's different between the two units.
