Looking for a simpe solution

:huh: I am looking for voltage switch with a .05 volt range -- make or break range at 14.5 to 15v

Requirements :

1 Low power usage

2 Some adjustment on the 15v

3 To power a piezo buzzer

4 Make or break within .5 volts


I have used micro relays , mos fets , transistors , But to no avail.

I do know how they operate , But I am blind and with two left hands with making a board that works for me.

I can assemble , But not the tech

are you talking about a voltage relay? something that will activate a buzzer at a certain voltage? I have been using these 4 dollar overvoltagerelays for years, they work great and can handle 0-40 volts. It has a LED display but you can turn it off for less power use.
On mine I have it set to disconnect a solar panel when the lifepo4 battery reaches 14.4 volts, but you can have it run a buzzer, it has many uses. Extremely reliable, I never had one fail me and I have them connected 24/7 for months at a time.

Those do work very well, Except for the idle current is 20 to 50 ma , even without the leds, would need to be recharged
almost every other week of non use.

I am using this as a over voltage sensor on a lto cell motor cycle battery, that I am building. I have only 86 watts to work with.

I am also limited by size.

Thanks for that info jony .... I wouldn't advise anyone to buy a charge controller ... they are slightly more efficient than none but mine were constantly breaking ...

I hadan "Outback" top of the range model$450... it lasted one year , a gecko crawled inside through the ventilation grilland fried itself ... since then chaper models have also been scrapped ... Now the price of panels is so low charge controllers just don't make sense, just connect the panels straight to the powerwall with a cutoff when voltage is reached .

Ummm, that's not a good idea. For one, you aren't getting the most out of the panels (even with panel prices dropping, not everyone can load up on panels; space for one). Many have used the cheaper MPPT solar charge controllers to maintain their batteries. And if you're feeling adventurous, you could always build one yourself with an arduino nano (or other mcu), a few FETs, a couple inductors, and few diodes and a bit of programming. Julian Ilett has such a device called the MUPPET. And far more flexible and expandable than any off the shelf device

These battery's are for ATVs and Motor Cycles. A lot of buyers need a Kiss solution (Keep It Simple --- )

for charging a dead battery. There for a loud buzzer for over charge. The use of dumb chargers is going to happen,

LTO cells can charge to +3v easily, but the other components will Toast at 18v.

Trying to use a BMS at 800 CCA , would cost more than the battery and be huge.
