Hello,

Off-grid stand alone build.

Two questions:

1). Anyone have links, experience &/or info to any builds with 1,000 Ah cells from Thunder Sky Winston?

TSWB- LYP1000AHC

Am curious about Batrium build with above.
I assume 48v.

2). Anyone have links, experience &/or info to any builds with the late Jack Rickard's (EVTV) full EV pack voltage system using micros and hi-v inverter?

Thanks in advance 👍🙏👍

Am curious about Batrium build with above.
I assume 48v.
Batrium can do 1000ah cells.

I do 260ah cells and can easily see 500ah cells per 1 x longmon. You can put multiple longmons per cell (2 or 3 or 4 = 250ah/cell) or maybe even just 1 x longmon if you're patient with balancing. Batrium core + mons is flexible in this regard.

I'm looking into buying some new cells and am curious of those that have ever worked with the larger prismatic from Thunder Sky Winston.

The end game is a large stationary BESS for an energy hog home, etc.

I see most go the route of multi-paralleled smaller cells to create their end desire.

Other than being big and I'm guessing awkward, any thoughts.... esp from any that have used them.

Also, curious the experiences others are having using full-pack native hi-voltage route.
I.e.
The late Jack Rickard "builds" \ from EVTV using micros, etc....
or
others using off-grid/stand-alone hi-v inverter/chargers. Their PV controllers, etc, etc, etc.

I'm searching and lurking and not coming up with much, but I'm not a great smart-phone surfer. I'm finally back on my laptop. I think it's an age and IQ issue. One is defiantly... and definitely rising in value; the other, decreasing 7 to 1... and accelerating 🤖 (Approaching ludicrous speed).

See what I drum up as I assume this isn't the first inquiry.

If all goes well, I should have a post on my build as I go or a final product.

All the best & TIA.
👍🙏👍

One thing to watch for is the larger the cell, the more expansion/contraction you should allow for eg with foam between cells & flexible vs rigid cell-cell links.
Modular seems a good way to go. eg the approx 270 to 300 AHr size EVE cells are looking good.
Building a system with several strings of cells allows you to take part of it out of service for maintenance/upgrades without interrupting output (keeping our other half happy...!!)
Re high voltage, there's a serious safety side there, 48V stings, 300VDC frys. Also all gear "grades up" & becomes less common.

Thank you.

Has anyone had any experience with eLithion products and/support?

I started looking a few years ago at this and decided to wait. They were one of the names I saw pop up as well.

Basically, what manufacturers and/or products seem to have the least issues over time and good support (even if you have to pay)?

I have no idea about the quality of the products or support. But any company that is still standing after the 2008-2009 recession and COVID is probably doing something right. I bet their prices are $$$$$. You don't often hear of them being used on storage batteries.
