I have the Mpp solar 2424LV-MSX and in the evenings it will click on and off the solar charger about 15-20 times as the sun sets. I hear it click and then shows charging at 2 amps, immediately clicks again and turns charging off. Does this over and over. Other than the annoying clicks i hadn't noticed any problems until today it did one of the clicks and my computer turned off, seemed like i had a voltage drop when it did one of the clicks. Anyway, i'm curious if anyone else has noticed this. I'll probably just put a regular ups on the computer to avoid any voltage sags.

sounds like mine when the sun is rising and setting just the MPPT charge controller going off and on due to not enough power from the panels. SOUNDS totally normal to me.. Maybe if your really concerned pop a video up showing settings & sound it is making .

Does sound like it's charging the capacitors until it has enough voltage to turn on, then discharging and repeating the process.
If that is the case, it's a software issue and hard to fix.

It hasn't caused my computer to turn off since that one time. I did turn on AC charging though at 2 amps, not sure if that helped it at all. Sent a message to mpp solar, no response yet from them.

Keep us posted :)
