the main purpose of this battery box is to get a 6 cylinder diesel tractor to turn over, at least the get the starter unstuck. The tractor is an old Oliver row crop model. there are otherthings wrong with it but getting starter unstuck. is first on the list. The tractor still has 12v positive ground.

Back to the build. I bought a Beast module 8s4p headway from Battery Hook Up. Cut the module in half, after I removed and charged the cells to 3.65v twice, then hooked the cells in parallel for a week. Then I started experimenting with a smaller 4s1p pack added a 60A Daly non smart LiFePO4 bms wired in the balance leads also another 4s set of leads for monitor. I wired the p- lead to a GiGAVAC relay/contactor. The relay is activated by a 12vdc switch wired between p- and the relay. I then modified a 7s10p 18650 pack I had made last year, This one I used a 100A SSR on.

I made the 4s4p headway battery pack with the bus bars from the beast module I have an 100A Daly non-smart bms on this wired the same as I did on the 4s1p headway but with a Tyco relay/contactor. I will be adding a fuse at some point. I know i will have a fused power point, usb ports later. Right now it just has Dinse Quick welder connections and jumper cables made from 6awg copper wire which hook into the tig welding connections.

The 4s4p and bottom of tool box is cushioned with play mats from the dollar store. The Negative lead from the battery is red oops I crimped the wrong wire so I have blue silicone tape on the connections. And it could use some straightening up but for now it works.
The outdoor outlet cover fits over the Dinse Quick connectors just haven't mounted it yet.
Later floyd
