Hi,
I got here because of this thread. I installed that inverter last week. But for an issue with panel voltage floor, it has been working fine for 5 days now. The darn thing won't go above 780 watts when it is cold. Drops a bit more when 100° out there.

So I see there are a lot of smart people here. Hope I can learn and be helpful.

What voltage are you sending to the inverter. Are you using batteries or just solar. If your voltage is at the lower end the inverters will not produce max output. You should really not be pushing the 1000w inverter past 750w anyways

I didn't understand your problem, just woke up, but I can surely say that any electronic circuit is heat dependant and normally has maximum/best throughput at 20-25°C (68°F-77°F). PV panels, too, if I pour water on mine when temperature goes over 40°C (104°F) they work better and produce more.

Thanks. I've joined that group now, though I'm not much of a facebook user. So, the details.
Best as I can make out the internal voltage reference is off by 1.4 volts at the panel sense. It says that my panel voltage is 47.5 when it is actually 49.9 volts. So I'm guessing that the firmware has a lower limit of 47.5 volts that it will take the panels to at maximum output. But because the panels are floating at almost 50 volts, it is just not getting the current they are capable of.

Do you have the 22-65v or 45-90v version?
 
Unfortunately your voltage is to low. You are causing the inverter to use way to many amps causing unneeded stress on the inverter. Optimal voltage for the 45-90v inverter is in the middle so roughly 68v. This is why you can’t get more production from the inverter. The 22-65v inverters is best to use with voltage that low. I think the number is 50v when the 45-90v inverter starts lowering its output

Ha I wouldn't call us smart we just have a lot of experience collectively.

If you can't find the answer to something regarding batteries, (18650 for me not this newfangled LiFePO4 stuff) solar power and panels, inverters, and anything that goes in between than ask here!❓
Real recycling enthusiasts use cylindrical 18650 Li-Ion cells.( My opinion)
Billions of them out there no need to buy new.
