Hi, Essex UK based, retired car repairer, very into pre war motorcycles and classic cars, so I like to reuse and restore old items, always repairing washing machines, toasters, henry hoovers etc. once rebuilt a Cessna 172. I bought two off road segways at auction, recovered the flat batteries but they did not last, had one pair recelled but cost a fortune, need to sort out the second pair myself, I am not that into electronics, more of a monkey see monkey do guy with regards to electronic repairs!
new here and out of my comfort zone!

Light aircraft are very simple things compared to BMS, series, parallel, amps, volts, Lion, LiFepo4.......... I just repaired a diesel 6kva (whatever that means) generator but fortunately only a broken piston, the electricky bit works well!Welcome to you! You rebuilt a Chessna WTH that's awesome!
I have had a read through the FAQ's, I will need a LOT of help with rebuilding the Segway batteries, what forum should I start a thread in?

It's a build, I'd say DIY Battery Project Builds should be good

I wonder, could the segway engines be used for wind power?
Not something I can really do here (not consistent enough to justify the trial). In the UK, seems like you guys might have more consistent winds.
