Looks good from the description.
I have just about every IR meter that is sub $200, here is the tread.

I have also order this one and will test it and see.
Also I always order with all the probes and especially the holder. Will check out the interface and recording software.
Will also see if I can write some code to import data into excel.

I will be interested to read what you think. I ordered one as well. I should have ordered with the kit. I was hoping to use the holder and tow other leads that I got with the RC3563. Just hoping that the plug wiring is the same. I have found significant differences in measurements using the three different types of leads, so it would have been nice to have another full set to compare. I can't seem to find the cell holder/fixture sold by itself anywhere.

Thanks for the reply!

The RC3563 and the AETHER have the same connectors as does the YK-VR1220H.
However the YK-VR1220H has the Voltage pins reversed, if you try to use the RC3563 holder/probes.
If by chance the RC3563 Holders work with the AETHER then the aliexpress store "on the simmer"
Has the test fixture available separately. I talked them into providing separate access to the probes and holders after I literally wore one out.
In my strategy all my cells get tested for IR and voltage through my testing procedure at least 4 times and so far I have done at least 20,000 tests. Initially with the YR1030 then YR1035+ finishing the bulk of my testing with the RC3563.

Thanks Wolf. I ordered a set of the higher end probes and the battery holder/fixture.
I am having some problems accepting the accuracy of the AC3563 meter . The readings seem way too low.
BTW, do you have part numbers or links for the precision resistors that you use to calibrate your meters with?

I spent some time browsing the Rhopoint Components web site for

Isabellenhütte resistors. But couldn't find any that match the pictures that you posted in another thread.

I am assuming RC3563. In my case the RC3563 meter was pretty darn close out of the box, so I just went with it the way it was. I have 2 of them and I will admit one was slightly different (lower in readings) however I did adjust/calibrated it and it matched the other one.
I am certainly not one to sneer at accuracy, believe me if you read any of my posts I am pretty adamant about it, however there does come a point of no return.
Reasonably priced V and R reference boards can be had at https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256...t_main.55.f4e118024Nizza&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

If you are specifically looking for Isabellenhütte resistors as I have them
ebay https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p3519243.m570.l1313&_nkw=Isabellenhütte+resistors&_sacat=0&LH_PrefLoc=3
Special Note the Model is PBV watch out for the tolerances they come in 3 flavors (Tolerance % 0.5 / 1 / 5) you obviously would prefere 0.5% but 1% will do, however they are not cheap.
Or the seller in the USA where you may be able to ask for some samples

Yes, I meant RC3563. Sorry for the typo!

I really appreciate the info. Will check out the resistors. I am just getting some crazy low readings. I mean 18650s (30Q) at 2.89 mOhms. Molicell P42A at 1.802 mOhms. Just seems way off when I consider what I have seen on your spreadsheets and even cell data sheets.

Thanks for that information. The one I ordered is making its way slowly to me. They mention a video in the text. Do you have a link to the sellers page so I can find the video?

I found the listing. The video that the link points to is gone. It says it was removed by the poster.

I just found 2 these video - but no very informative
youtube

but based on the screenshot it is not RC3563 or VR1220H (their picture posted here), strange that capacitors range just 100V

Received my BA1020 today. All I have done is opened the package to see what I had received in the mail.
yay later

problem 18650 slide tester is too short. The slide is adjust to the maximum length.
I may be able to desolder the thick black wire and reattach it from the back.It appears to be blocking the slide from opening a couple more mms. It might allow the slide to open wide enough

On further inspection the three slide slides groves aren't long enough by at least 2 mm and the two on the sides bottom out so even if the wire wasn't in the way a 18650 wouldn't fit.Between te tips of the slide is approximately 60mm with tips pushed in all the way. Bummer not sure if there is 5 mm be be gained. with the mods I was going to do.
Wolf solved my problem the negative side of the tester slides. It does allow an 18650 to fit in the tester.

are wires - silicone with enough length for all probes?
yes they are not sure If I just got a badly made slide tester or my 18650's have grown. The Slide tester looks to be well made if it would fit 18650's.

I also got mine. I have not had time to do much with it, but I tested a couple of cells. It matches closely to the latest RC3563 that I got. I only got the clip probes with mine. But I had purchased upgraded probes and the battery holder with the RC3563. They work properly with the BA1020.
Wolf posted a link above where you can order them separately. That cell holder will accept protected 21700 cells. So maybe 72+ mm cells are OK.

More when I have time to do more testing.

I measure the opening with the retractable electrodes completely retracted with the slide at it widest opening. 61.5mm. Can barely fit a D cell between probes. Actually I measured the D cell. So I need to modify the slides to be 4 mm longer and perhaps cut part of the negitive probe carrier back side a mm or 2. in addition to rerouting the one of the black wires. Disappointed in what at first looked to be a well constucted device. The clip tester and the push tester wires are short. Although the push tester is easier to use than the push tester I received with the RC3563. The push tester of my YR1030+ I could test my 60280 and 60290 LiFePO4 cells and with the push testers of the BA1020 nor the RC3563 can. I would be seriously disappointed if I was still testing 18650's. or large cylindrical LiFePO4 cells.
Good thing the tester was cheap.

B1020 nor the RC3563

what is the quality of B1020 plastic vs RC3563?
I have RC3563 and the build quality is very good (unfortunately the accuracy is very low)
VR1220h - build quality - is cheap, it seems as similar formfactor, but the build quality is low (Accuracy is better than RC3563, but measurement speed is very very low)

@floydR
Hmm I did not experience this issue. The negative side of the fixture is a spring loaded connector so you push the negative side of the cell in and it will give you plenty of room to place the positive side on the contact. Also the fixture is designed with 18650 size cells in mind.
