I did not want to hijack a other thread so i post it over here.( i hope this is the right section for this?)

What most do/did wrong (incl ME) is the distance between the electrodes.
Keep it small to get more currant flow. and big as possible electrodes.
I also think you want to have a cell that is 10x10cm/4x4 inch and 2.5cm/1 inch in high.
Stack them on top of each other.
And not a cell that is 5cm/2 inch in diameter and 10cm/4 inch in high.
Or your electrodes must be at full length at the high of the cell, but the negative must be 1cm/0.5 inch from the bottom.
But you will need a separator, fine or crud sand or a gel form or a fine mash, i have some experiments in my mind i will post them here.
A mix of pure cement mixed with charcoal 2 to 1 ratio seems to do a good job.
As a separator.

Dont charge them with more than 2.0V!!!
Those where the mistakes that a lot of people make (incl me).
A financial mistake: make your own znbr with na-br and ZnSO4 . H2O

With best regards Igor.
Sorry i cant get the zcbr out of my head.
